Good morning and Happy New Years!
I hope everyone made it through the holidays with their hearts filled with joy and love :-)
The progress on my Ikea cabinets for my plants is progressing, although I'm getting close to being complete. It's been a learning experience for sure, but I'm glad that I can finally put my plants on display and enjoy them.

A quick update on the book I got from an Inter-Library Loan:
The book came in, however it didn't come from the Library of Congress like what I had thought. It actually came from Townsend Memorial Library at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton Texas, which is still pretty cool! I went and picked it up a week ago Monday. It does have some useful information for my research but it stems off on somewhat of a higher level of medical knowledge and pharmacodynamics(*1) of a selection of orchids that may be a bit too much to present for my research. Erring on the side of caution and not wanting to provide "medical advice," I will hit on the high notes and summaries of what I find when I write a post on it and/or present it for observation. The Inter-Library Loan is due back on January 16th, so I'm trying to absorb/scarf down as much information as I can in the event that I'm unable to renew the loan. My local branch said I could request a renewal but it would be up to the discretion of the loaning library to renew it.I have been able to glean quite a bit of information from this book, so I'm looking forward to putting that info together along with the rest of the information I've found and share it with you all!
So the new series of posts I'm going to do is going to be on "What is _____?" With these posts, I'll be exploring topics of the different types of growing habitats for orhids and other topics to help explain exactly what that _(insert topic of post)_ does, etc. Starting with the growing habitats of orchids will be an interesting topic for most because when most people think of orchids, they think of the kind they find at the grocery store or local home improvement stores which may only be limited to one or two species (at least in my experiences). I've created a label/topic called What Is _______? so you'll be able to referernce different posts under that topic in the future.
Are you excited? I'm excited!!
Stay tuned!
